Client Support

Post by skataSkilou »

Hello to all im newbie :D
I use with no errors at all through your great Server Setup guide the following
---
Server Version=5207
Datapack Version=8702
---

My problem is that i have no Client Support - all clients i have installed do automatic update to
Goddness of Destruction and as you first know this client is NOT supported by l2j

Is there anybody else out there with same problems or im the only one in this scary planet?

Thank you all'

Tons of people like you, unfortunately in this forum you will only get told "google the right client". That's because for some dumb reason the l2j team thinks that distributing even unmodified client files is illegal or something. Even though they would not get hurt by allowing someone to tell someone else where to get the client...
If you have problems, FIRST TRY SOLVING THEM YOURSELF, and if you get errors, TRY TO ANALYZE THEM, and ONLY if you can't help it, THEN ask here.
Otherwise you will never learn anything if all you do is copy-paste!
Discussion breeds innovation.

DO NOT use "Launcher" (icon that appear on desktop after installation) to start the game, use L2.bin in "system" folder

Copy and paste l2.bin in your system folder und rename it to l2.exe.
Now start Lineage2 with l2.exe. This should work.

you don't need to rename it.

just create bat/cmd file like this:

Code: Select all

@echo offstart l2.binexit
