[Question]Server traffic?

Hi, people!
I have a question about the server traffic... I've found an company that offer me a good dedicated server, but with traffic limit of 500 GB per month. And i want to ask if someone knows, because the only connection i've ever used was unlimited... lets says that, server's daily activiti is 500 - 700 players online... will this pass the limit if all features (events, quests etc retail-like) are turned on? I'm using interlude server.

you can not reach this limit even if you have 2 - 3k players online

First make such amount of players.
But 500 gb per month is kinda low (My live for 7 days made 236 gb sent)

He's using IL tho. Less packets there.

Even if they are twice less it won't be enough for more then 200 players.

Also depends on if it's total trafic (lil trick from some hosting co.) or income/outcome

If it's not enough, i will upgrade to 3500GB... I hope that will be enough! Because i don't want someone to take me down with DDoS.

That won't save you from ddos.

Maybe, but even if someone try, the company will take care about that cuz they have the needed resources. That is the reason we don't want to host on a home PC... full hardware support!

I wish you good luck with that.
You must have at least 10 gbp/s connectivity to stand still on some normal ddos attack.
As far as i know in Bulgaria there are not much companies that can offer you that (At least i don't know any)

At least i don't believe that there are someone who have the resources to hit with 10 gbps attack and he will use them to take down an L2 server... but that is my opinion. But even if someone try... i rly believe that any company offering this services has DDoS protection. Thank you i just asking about the traffic usage... nothing more!
I can't handle server in home cuz the bulgarian internet providers are looool no comments you know......... and that will cost me more than the rented dedicated server!

I'm not 100% sure, but i think back in the days we had around 2.5TiB traffic under normal conditions with ~800 constantly online.
