Sense of movement on retail vs l2j.

Post by JMD »

I always wondered why on l2off files and l2j theres such a difference in the speed where your character moves etc. The closest of that speed i have come to l2j is when you walk around inside a church or a masters guild etc. Why cant it be like this on l2j? Its like theres more delay or something.

Are you refering to character walk/run movement speed or the delay between requesting character to walk and the character start walking?

the delay between requesting character to walk and the character start walking, same with when requesting tradelists, multisells, teleporting etc.

If somehow l2j can become like this there will be no telling anymore if a server is l2j or l2off. At least not at first glance.

What BigBoss means is, that messages over the network are sent and recived in a single thread.
The other parts of the core are multithreaded.
