We work for ourselves. TRAC

Post by momo61 »

What a lot of devs have been pointing out a lot in recent months is that they work for themselves with their dev-svn and the public works for itself with our public-svn. If that is so, why do you still not allow us to see trac changes? Why make life so difficult for us? Don't come with "so that hostile forks dont steal "our" work", because they can steal "your" work using eclipse.

I am kindly asking you, whoever makes the decisions around here to enable trac view again.

I second that :)
Hadn't thought about it before.
Though it doesn't matter much to me anymore, but for others...
If you have problems, FIRST TRY SOLVING THEM YOURSELF, and if you get errors, TRY TO ANALYZE THEM, and ONLY if you can't help it, THEN ask here.
Otherwise you will never learn anything if all you do is copy-paste!

This was voted recently by the entire L2j Team, and results were:

Aint that vote results bothering you ? Its not 80 - 20 its 47 - 53 ...
Someone who didnt bother reading the svn or ant manual and just waited for you to make him a visual guide for eclipse is not a guy that is willing to learn ... He is the definition of the leecher.

A tight voting indeed, but all the L2j Team members must respect the results.

You can call for a revote for this proposal in a couple of months and see if someone has changed their mind (or not) but from now on things stay as is.

You can setup a SVN Mirror and get your view diff feature for your personal use.

It is a close call... But I guess we will have to accept it. Although, to those that voted NO, I hope you will reconsider, for the sake of the project.

Phoenix, that poll is not valid now (because is to solve a old trouble and is not valid for the current L2J situation) you know that :P

PublicSVN is now for community contributions, so there is no reason now to keep Diff code disabled

this is useful for community, and specially for new L2J users that are starting to know, test and use L2J for first time ;)

Is a re-vote not appropriate here TPB and Co. ??

Has there been a revote yet?

I urge all the official l2j devs to reconsider and reactivate the trac for the mortal ones :)

You can't view the code on the web...
If you have problems, FIRST TRY SOLVING THEM YOURSELF, and if you get errors, TRY TO ANALYZE THEM, and ONLY if you can't help it, THEN ask here.
Otherwise you will never learn anything if all you do is copy-paste!

lol, wtf?
Edit: you're really using http://trac.l2jserver.com/timeline ?
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
