TRAC
When will you implement some form of account management for TRAC? At least make it so you can log in with forum account and only then make tickets/reply to them.
Someone should have already noticed the spammer in core trac, you can't ban him because there is no account and the IP is most probably dynamic, if not proxy.
It's also annoying when people with nickname "anonymous" close tickets without explanation. You don't even know if that person knows what he's doing.

If you have problems, FIRST TRY SOLVING THEM YOURSELF, and if you get errors, TRY TO ANALYZE THEM, and ONLY if you can't help it, THEN ask here.

Re: TRAC
We are actually looking to tweak and configure some extra options in the Trac, as you said something like to allow ONLY registrated users to open/close tickets, also a strong reCaptcha bot blocker, but we have seen that there are some chinese workers manually registering accounts to our forum and trac to sell junk. Easy way would be to IP Range block all China, but they can get workarounds with proxies, anyways lot of work to do.

Re: TRAC
Take it step by step, first captcha, then accounts, then maybe smth more. Those that will still spam would be bannable, not unlike now.

Interesting, but the last time we used a similar software we had A LOT of false positives.GhostHunterCZ wrote:Small way how to block proxy..http://dnsbl.tornevall.org/

Re: TRAC
Well, judging by the latest spam in core trac, I'd say nothing has been done to reduce the amount of it... Not cool.

Re: TRAC
...
That's not even funny.
Even if I do, the spam will still be there. It's you who should care, you're a developer and you should read those tickets, that's what they're meant for.
But you just work for yourself so you don't need the tickets. And that's kind of bad because this is a community project.

Re: TRAC
i would say, close trac for not logged in users. normal users can report on forum. but trac should stay accessible for existing and open tickets.
