all crap here

everybody will tell you that rather give more money to mainboard (intel) and CPU (intel) cause prices now are really very low... forget about AMD...i had like 11 years AMD stuf only and changed to Intel since AMD has no chance to beat them and Intel has just better product class for server range.. for servers are intel or sparcs good...

depends on money

Ya pretty expensive, but A LOT CHEAPER than any other 6 Cores Intel processor (Intel Core i7-980X Extreme)

Just what I wanted to say, AMD's top 6-core CPU costs like 4 times lower than INTEL's 6-core, the performance is slightly lower according to benchmarks, but 4 TIMES LOWER PRICE!!
NO other CPU stands near that productivity for that price.

For server owner who wants reliability and performance is price not the issue if he has plans to run solid and stable server...even if its game server for L2...ask yourself why not all those big and trusted server building companies do you in 90 percent Intel CPUs..

but of course..its up to you always

Well if money is not an issue (which is rare for small groups of people) then of course Intel.
