Please remove that ... banner or give us ability to disable that sh... After closing that banner it shows again when i go to main forum page.



I'm using IE because i like that program, and PLEASE don't force our opinion about browsers on forum. Please don't start war IE vs Other browsers on l2js forum because its not a place to war like this.

Well, afaik, it's also a technical issue : IE's DOM model is broken, IE's support for XmlHttpRequest() function is broken, IE's CSS support is broken...

Best Javascript/CSS support is from WebKit (Google Chrome/Safari and many other), then Opera and then Firefox... IE lags far behind...

So, by using IE, you'll have poor rendering on website who are strictly following the standards unless the site creator took care to use some tweaks to make the page render OK under IE (I had to develop several web sites for my work... and I had to do lots of extra work for IE... CSS like "* HTML #tag" for alternate CSS under IE, behavior files to fix :hover on non-A tags, ...)

IE scores poorly (last shown score is 12%... but page is utterly screwed up) on ACID 3 test (ACID tests are a serie of test to see if the browser follows the standard)... firefox scores more than 90%, Opera and Webkit based score 100%...

i'm using IE because i like it. for me that technical informations are not important. I like my browser. It shows me web pages correctly, fast - and thats enough for me.

You can use ff, opera, safari or whatever you want because you like it.

but forcing users to use other browser is some kind of fanaticism :p

First she/he totally broke [c0de] tags, now that nice banner without turn off option.
What will be next ? browser based exploit to blow up my monitor or format c:\ because i'm using IE ?

I use Safari and Opera and i don't see that banner anywhere.

nobody forces you to use other web browser. it is only a hint. you can still use the forums like with any other browser, you can see all topics like with any other browser. forcing you would be e.g. if you wouldn't be able to view the forum or the topics in your browser but would see them only in those other browsers hinted by tpb.

We can discuss about it in long long topic but probably that forum is not a place for discussion about browsers.
Displaying banner with information 'You are using an outdated browser, For a better experience using this site, please upgrade to a modern web browser" is some kind of forcing. some1 try to force his opinion about my browser if in fact i use latest and updated browser and btw... that site is not using any code which can be displayed incorrectly in IE. better experience ? no on that site.
