forum admins could make a forum section for official l2 events, where we could share/test/discuss them
since there are so many, i think it wouldn't be an empty space

idea about official events
If you have problems, FIRST TRY SOLVING THEM YOURSELF, and if you get errors, TRY TO ANALYZE THEM, and ONLY if you can't help it, THEN ask here.

Re: idea about official events
and both of those sections are full of "need help" "got a problem with this script" "fix for skill/item/quest"
i mean making a separate section JUST FOR OFFICIAL EVENTS, so that people wouldn't have to search through all those topics for something useful
everyone knows that there is plenty of official events that are good or even better but haven't been made yet (or not public, OR "too custom")

Re: idea about official events
and we are again at the point that many user do not respect the forum rules and they just post in any section. mostly they post their help requests into the contrib forum - sounds logical, or?
a new section = new mess :/ it is really hard to find what you are searching for, just because ppl are too lazy to use their brain.. also it is also hard to moderate all the posts and move them to the right section
i agree with jurchiks - not so easy to get to the right code on the forum.. too much mess, but i doubt a new section would help :/
maybe make some subforum in the contrib section, or make the nice code contribs a stickie? or prefix them with [EVENT].

Re: idea about official events
the prefix would probably work
OR if a new section/subforum was made, it could be made read-only, only admins could move threads into that section, and users could only post replies in those threads, but not make new threads
that wouldn't make a mess
but if the read-only feature is again IPB exclusive, well...

Read-only is supported by phpbb I guess. At least, phpbb permission system is hug3
