I will install L2Jserver Grazia in my Server but I don't know something.
If I would have enough PC and bandwidth.
How many players can I host simultaneously in an L2JServer?
I have an HP Proliant Core2Duo with 2GB RAM. With Win2K3 srv installed.
From what depends the amount of simultaneous players?

Thank you very much.

i you use geodata.. you cant handle too much....

geodata consume a lot memory... recomend 4gb minimum with geodata can handle 300+

I think evilus is used to other standards of performance\stability :)

Well, if you use search you'll find 5 million threads like the one you created. You'll also find that a lot depends on the available bandwidth of which you didn't even bother to mention yours. Which sort of limits the amount of useful answers we can give.

In addition, by reading your other posts, i conclude that you asking 'how to support 1000 players' is somewhat an unrealistic goal' - a goal for which my suggestion of 'getting more knowledge' isn't so retarded as you may think it is ;)

My question was to find out specifically on L2J. Not pc or bandwidth.
Sorry but I have not found anything using search.
Thanks anyway

PD: Sory for my english :)

It's not only about the geodata, or the ram installed.
The important things are: CPU (2/4 cores), HDDs' - 10k / 15k raid? and min 8 gb if u want ~ 700 users with geodata.
I'm telling 8 gb ram, cause I guess the SQL server will be @ the same machine too, and if the operating system is WINDOWS - it will consume more memory cause of the GUI, linux will consume less memory (cause it can be used via console and dont require GUI). That's in short.....
That is based on my observations.

Forgot to mention - using 64 bit processors and 64 bit operating system = consume more memory (not MUCH), but the preformance is better than using the server @ 32 bit.

For those that are SERIOUS about their servers - use linux boys and girls. If u dont know how, I'll write u a guide.
