L2J Server

Hi,

I live in United States although I am from Ukraine, and I was wondering why are there no or very few U.S. servers? Is it related to some legal stuff, or is it because there are few U.S. players? I am just wondering, since I am planning to open a server in U.S.A and wondering to what is this related.

I do not know about US servers, but if you are going to open a new server, and want lots of people...

Theoretically, now most are European players. So, I advice you to do a European server. And one more reason...

L2J is legal, L2Off is pursued. The only one who's against NCZ0ft terms is the player that connects to another server than retail. But this is a problem in EEUU, because NC don't be anything normally.

NCZ0ft is supposed can not say anything about it, but do not offer client mods.

So would I be ok if I were to open one in U.S.?

Theoretically. NCZ0ft is supposed to first contacts with suppliers of dedicated servers. If you are outside the U.S... better.

Anyway I do not think anything will happen .

my server is in the US, but ya, i have much more euro players then American ones lol

From what provider did you get your server?

i think thats because Lineage isnt a huge game over in the US. unlike everywhere else. WoW kinda dominates the mmo market in the US

If you make a server never say its American on the famous voting sites. I had mine listed as American and they contacted our germany based, hosting company about it.
