L2J Server

Hi everybody,

I started a project using the files I found here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/l2j/files/

I'm using the files under the version-0.4.1 folder. Those are C1 files.

At first I was getting some critical error becouse my l2.ini file wasn't encrypted, so when I ran the updateIni.bat it tryied to decrypt the file. Well, I already fixed that problem by encrypting the file before use updateIni.bat.

Now, my C1 client opens and the login server is fully working. However, nothing happens when at the server choice screen. There are one server named Bartz, but when I click it nothing happens.

How can I fix that problem? (please, help me)

There are no errors... I've tryied everything. The login server is working fine and at the server selection screen it shows me one server named Bartz. Since it's C1 there are no ping information. When I click to connect into Bartz nothing happens. No erros are shown at the cmd either.

I was almost there... Even the loginserver is working. I've to find out why I can't connect to the gameserver. Please, post any suggestions that come to your mind. I really want to set this server up.

Good news: I tryied to use the older version here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/l2j/files/

And it's now working! I'm using the file from version-0.1 and now I can acess the game!

I think the version version-0.4.1 wasn't working becouse I didn't updated the client. Becouse if I ran LineageII.exe (the one outside the system folder) it will update my game and try to donwload the newest version (Freya) right?

So, what should I do to have the latest C1 version (version-0.4.1) running with my C1 client?

Please, could anyone help?

Read the rules about client modding

what is your point? if you found a server version which works with your game client, what do you need more? why you need a newer server version which doesnt work with your client? so, are you searching for a server or for a client?

I'm not trying to mod anything. This is how the C1 files works. We HAVE TO change the l2.ini file. This is how the old L2J used to work, ok?

Becouse the first version (version-0.1) is MUCH MORE incomplete than the last one (version-0.4.1). The first version was just for tests purposes I belive. There wasn't even support for the classes.

Guys, please check the files I'm talking about before post. Those are very old files, so they are very different from the files L2J is using nowadays.

I think there is some protocol revision problem here. What should I do? Should I try to update the client? There is some change I can made so my server files will be able to connect even if the client isn't updated? Since I'm very new at L2J, I really don't know what to and I hope someone can do me a favor and help me out here.
