Centos Installation

hello people wanted to tell, is the first to install my unix server, Centos
I did the following steps. if I'm wrong please correct me
1) The mysql centos brings not had to install the database Cree
2) Last update Java jdk
3) Move all files to the directory server bin/L2server
4) Set the permissions to all files on the server
5) Create an account register the gameserver, gameserver configure the ips of
6) To give it all perfectly even start loading the ip is recorded everything ready

The problem is this when logear not loge ... is such that there is something that prevents CoNNECTIoNS, idk if centos comes with a firewall to be off or something ... I can not find an answer to what may happen is all listed, but I can not go ...
