Folks, as the topic name says, im looking for some application or way to encrypt system HDD on common PC (Windows XP). I want to achieve that the HDD could be read only on its original PC but not after removing and putting in another box (not master, not slave), it should be invisible or not readable for possible attacker. There are tons of applications which do this, only flaw is that they put another password at boot and i need to have it without... thought TPM could be the kicker (i know it was hacked but i give it the chance anyway) but True Crypt doesnt use TPM for the reason.

Most welcome is free or open sourced SW, but there is no problem to buy one. Any advices are more than welcome.

I'm using BitLocker built-in Windows since Win Se7en. Any other windows file system encryption tools worked badly for me.
Also i'm using TrueCrypt - powerful open-source tool, but AFAIK it can't encrypt whole file system, so your system disk (with windows directory) will be non encrypted.
Another solution to keep secret data inside at virtual machine, which can be encrypted entirely by TrueCrypt or any similar software

how about hardware encryption? :P
My current disk drive supports AES 256 bit hardware encryption.
