What will happen to the current svn?
Why not use the svn from google.

Forget the current svn, time to move on to something better.
If you mean google code, it doesn't offer downloads anymore.

SVN is archived remains read-only.
U still can use github as SVN if u dont wanna bother learning git

Rebuild what exactly?
Its basically just a move from svn to git i don't see what rebuilding would be necessary.
