Game guard error

I dont know if this is posted anywhere else, I did a search and didnt see anything of this problem.

A new player on my server just bought the Retail Lineage2 C5 CD,

he installed the game then took the Lineage2 patch from Live.

he couldnt log into my server getting a Game Guard: error (1014) and booted to the destop.

I had him uninstall the game, load the game from the CD and not patch.

when he tried to log in again My server then said "unsupported Version 693"

so I changed my server config. from 694 to 693 restarted the server and everything worked from that point.

will there be support for the newest live patch?

or is it aimed to stop servers?
