Freya client connecting to Interlude server

Post by samlopez »

Hi i have a probably stupid question about client connection
was just wondering if there is a way to adapt a Freya client or any other, making it possible to connect with a server running Interlude or older chronicles

Sorry but its not possible.

Use a interlude client, or update your server to Freya to be able to play with a Freya client.

i got idea and success in Gracia Epilogue Server and Freya Client... If the version not different 2 much and low server can use higher version client. we can add more config in the server
File : yourserverlocation/gameserver/server.properties

AllowedProtocolRevisions = 216 // Edit this row

DON'T CHANGE PROTOCOL REVISION!!!
It should not even be in a config, you will only get problems with that. Possibly not just from logging in, but eventually there will be packets that differ and you might get client crashes or even server problems if some values sent/received are wrong.
If you have problems, FIRST TRY SOLVING THEM YOURSELF, and if you get errors, TRY TO ANALYZE THEM, and ONLY if you can't help it, THEN ask here.
Otherwise you will never learn anything if all you do is copy-paste!

Great... It's almost as if they LIKE people crying about problems that they've made themselves... Some time ago this was a very actual problem and every second topic was about this setting.

Edit: wrong section btw.

it is possible, only need make server to accept other client packets and send required packets by client

it is already done with c1 server
so it can be done with interludes and so on
