The primary configuration must be "1000 players ready to play on your server for more than a few hours".
If you have problems, FIRST TRY SOLVING THEM YOURSELF, and if you get errors, TRY TO ANALYZE THEM, and ONLY if you can't help it, THEN ask here.
Otherwise you will never learn anything if all you do is copy-paste!

Ram 8 to 16Gb and HDD 1tb (500-750Gb could work I guess).

CPU you will have to wait a recomendation from someone more updated :D

I doubt u gonna need that much ram 8-12 gb ram is more then enough.
128 gb ssd would be fine you wouldn't ever need space for l2j (Unless u don't clear your logs for months)
I would count on a good CPU nicely configured OS and mysql server.

Server CPU, obviously. E5 could be OK.

I doubt anyone can answer that. At best only make an educated guess.

l2j doesnt perform any heavy operation, but it executes tons of lightweight operations. So is more valuable the core number and threads per core than the cpu power itself. Also, choose a server depending if you are gona host database in the same server than l2j or not

Depends on the players i had 3k back in Freya and no lags and no problems with not so powerful dedicated server.
But mysql runs better with fast disks i had 2x SAS in raid.
I don't really remember the cpu i think it was i7 (They didn't had some server versions like Xeons/Opterons)
