[L2j] L2jServer join forces with NCZ0ft

We are glad to announce that L2j Server the large and well know free opensource Lineage emulator has been adquired by NCZ0ft and now all the developers will work together in a new version of Linage that will be Free to Play for all.

We L2jServer developers that have made this wonderful server for all of you agreed to work with NC guys only if they made it Free to Play.

I hope to see you all guys in the new LineageJ game.

yes..but with all the data from NCZ0ft must every server be limited to 100 players as demo.

well... you never know with NCZ0ft...

There's something of the sort posted on the official forums in a "suggestions" thread.
Dont ask me to find it again, but I ended up on that thread less than 1 week ago by accident and some guy was suggesting to the NCZ0ft guys to have some "free trial servers" to attract new players to L2

retail servers players slowly but sure leaving retail..due bots and stuff...game is a bit old now and there are newer and better looking games with more gameplay which current client doesnt allow...every new chronicle has impact to client performance..there are no cleanups or tuning done or what ever...weekly i can read in public chats ppl (3+ years long playing ppl) leaving game for various reasons but the biggest is they get bored and this game doesnt have the kick as 2 years ago anymore... maybe L3 will be better but im afraid it will be still the same but better looking

and due this are also ppl leaving free servers imho (yes..there are exceptions

)

And with NCZ0ft's L3 development team who left a little while ago, it pushes back the launch of L3..
Which is why this announce "could" have made sense actually... as a "temporary" solution to keep people interested in the Lineage franchise. The part that didnt really make sense was L2J accepting an offer like that.

they are working on other game but looks much better then L2...not sure about name..ive seen some movie about it...

were talking about the team which left NCZ0ft and started own game development instead to make crap L3 for botters supportes
