Need driver for my graphic card please help

hello all, i have just procceeded to a format of my laptop and now my graphic's card's driver is missing,, i downloaded some drivers but they are not compatible with the card.. I run windows Vista-32b SP1.

My laptop is Turbo-X Maestro MN81-432

Card details : Nvidia 8600M GS 512MB
in the www.nvidia.co.uk i cannot find any driver for the card ;///

if someone can help me please i would really appreciate it..


P.S I already tried google it w/o results- i keep trying- ;/

Get PCI device id and vendor id and google by then, not by name.

oh,, well i understand nothing of that pci :SS vendor id = Nvidia corporation , what you mean with pci ?

Get some PCI device list utility or check in device manager, device properties.
My radeon has vendor id = 1002, device id = 9501

man i dont know how can i get these ids ;/ what difference there will be even if i knew them? why the driver since it supports my graphic card says its not compatible with my hardware ?;//

how can i get these ids and what to do with them?thx for help a/w i cannot do this alone;/

um, i think the device id = 0x0403
and the vendors id = 0x10DE

You need to find EXACT value for YOUR card, for example, in device manager.

I know it would sound maybe lame or noob but..have you tried to uninstall fully your graphic card driver (the wrong one) and to restart vista ?

go to hardware manager and uninstall it there... btw...are you server admin ? How you got directed to this forum ?

i used to be server admin but not anymore.

i dont have any graphic card driver to delete mate i cannot even install one :S.... i went to the company from which i bought my laptop and they gave me a cd wth the "proper" drivers to install... but there was no driver for the graphic card ;/

do you know how i can find that pci values? not go there ;p click where?

Try pci explorer from here: http://pci-viewer.vista-files.org/ (just found by google)

restart vista and run in VGA mode or some safemode... then check your drivers in hardware manager and maybe uninstall graphic adapter and restart again...or ....get Win 7 heared its driver base is realy huge
