Re: Hacking Tool Error - Updated
K, so I configured my files like yours, sept you forgot to specify which IP to use from my IP Config, my personal computers static IP 192.168.0.100 or my routers IP address, 192.168.0.1 I've only tried my computers Static IP, which I assume is the correct one? But for some reason I still cannot connect from my laptop.
I'm guessing in my laptops hosts file, I should have my WAN IP **.**.***.** authd.lineage2.com and the fix you posted up for nprotect.lineage2.com, thank you btw, hasn't failed yet. So, what am I doing wrong here?
EDIT - Just tried it with my routers IP address to, 192.168.0.1 and it doesn't work either. Hehe, whats goin on??!

Re: Hacking Tool Error - Updated
you should have 3 options in the ipconfig console yes/no?
post a ss if you want
should say
IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.***.*.*
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : ***.***.***.*
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.***.*.*
you will want the first one you also need to add this into your hosts file
I would say it would be this one for you 192.168.0.1 remember if you restart your pc all could change
your host file will then look like this windows vista and xp only windows 7 different

Re: Hacking Tool Error - Updated
What about the hosts file for an external machine, connecting over the internet?
Also my computers ip is 192.168.0.100, and 192.168.0.1 is the default gateway. Setting the login server to the default gateway does allow me to login and connect from THIS server, but detects the game server at a ping of 9999... Should I just change the login server to 192.168.0.1 and leave the gameserver setting as 192.168.0.100?
Also I'm being two routers, the externally connected router forwards all relevant ports to this router, and my router forwards all ports to this computer. Does that make a difference, do I need to somehow add the IP of the second router in my config files?

Re: Hacking Tool Error - Updated
if you have two routers i am sure they are using the same external ip
ok what ever pc the server is running on this is the internal ip you need to use in your configs and your host file understand what i mean
if not pm me and there we can talk better as it is hard to talk about ips in here dont want any one getting hacked

Re: Hacking Tool Error - Updated
No reason not to talk about my IP's, my routers can't be accessed from external, because they're designed that way. All I have to do, is make my WAN IP **.***.**.*** or whatever and no one has any idea what it is. 192.168.0.100 won't help anyone hack me if they don't have my WAN. And the only people who have my WAN or the forum moderators, who I'm sure are well aware of the legal consiquences of hacking my PC. I have a list of sites that know my WAN, they're forums, I frequent them. If my computer is hacked that list will be disclosed to the police, the possibilities of who hacked me will be collected, whether or not these sites were hacked to get my IP investigated, and ultimately the arrogant jackass who thought he was so clever for hacking my PC will be getting buttraped with a little aloevera soapy lube in prison.
Besides, what're they gonna do? Wipe my hard drive? On no my porn! Everything I installed off steam and my library of gamedisks that I can just reinstall!
Oh no, they stole my account information which the bank now has to refund to me, while the perp is apprihended and given a friggin 10 year sentence for fraud. (And charged a hefty fine to boot.)
And I know all this will happen, because police only do their jobs when you ride their ass, and I love to ride.
But seriously, to get the client side, not on my computer client to work. They need to put the WAN IP, **.***.**.** l2authd.lineage2.com and the fix you gave me for the nprotect, and thats all?

And here's my gameserver properties file.

# Game Server Settings
# ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
# This is the server configuration file. Here you can set up the connection information for your server.
# This was written with the assumption that you are behind a router.
# Dumbed Down Definitions...
# LAN (LOCAL area network) - typically consists of computers connected to the same router as you.
# WAN (WIDE area network) - typically consists of computers OUTSIDE of your router (ie. the internet).
# x.x.x.x - Format of an IP address. Do not include the x'es into settings. Must be real numbers.
# ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
# Networking
# ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
# This is transmitted to the clients connecting from an external network, so it has to be a public IP or resolvable hostname
# Common settings...
# 127.0.0.1 - If you are playing alone on a test server
# 192.168.x.x - This is if you are on a 192.168.x.x type network (behind a standard consumer router) and want other computers from JUST the internal network to be able to connect
# x.x.x.x - WAN IP obtained from http://www.whatismyip.com/. This is if you want people outside your internal network to be able to connect to your server.
# If this IP is resolvable by the Login Server, just leave *.

Re: Hacking Tool Error - Updated
internal needs to be 192.168.0.1 for both login and gameserver
RouterHostname = * should be this
unless this is the ip on the pc that server is running if so change host file to be the same 192.168.0.100

Re: Hacking Tool Error - Updated
Router IP: 192.168.0.1
Server Computer IP: 192.168.0.100
With those settings I can't (your settings I mean) I can't log into the game server. I can log in, but not into the game server itself. (So no char selection screen.)

You cannot have two different IPs redirecting to the same place in your hosts, the computer will ignore the second one.
your hosts file needs to look like this
other ppl on your internall network hosts file will look like the above
ppl connecting from the internet hosts will look like
In your server and gameserver properties you need to set the internall host name to
and the externallhostname to your WAN ip or dyndns
and in your router you need to foward ports 2106 and 7777 the your server ip 192.168.0.100
(i am not sure if setting
will automattically do the port forwarding, i been away for a while and thats a new line to me
).
your hosts file needs to look like this
Code: Select all
192.168.0.100 l2authd.lineage2.com66.240.255.107 nprotect.lineage2.com
Code: Select all
192.168.0.100 l2authd.lineage2.com66.240.255.107 nprotect.lineage2.com
Code: Select all
'your wan ip or dns name' l2authd.lineage2.com66.240.255.107 nprotect.lineage2.com
In your server and gameserver properties you need to set the internall host name to
Code: Select all
InternalHostname = 192.168.0.100
and in your router you need to foward ports 2106 and 7777 the your server ip 192.168.0.100
(i am not sure if setting
Code: Select all
RouterHostname = 192.168.0.1

Re: Hacking Tool Error - Updated
It's all set up like that. My laptop still can't connect...
Its on a different router in the network, so maybe thats why it can't reach my computer? Hmmmm...
But I can't make it connect with either my WAN or LAN ip. It just says "You are currently logging in. Please wait a moment." Forever. Also when I start the client sometimes it says "Disconnected from Update Server." and closes. Thats from the normal method of opening lineage, I can't find a direct start l2.exe. All the ports should be forwarded, so I have no clue whats going on at this point. Can anyone think of a reason this wouldn't be working?
