Gracia Epilogue Stupidities

Hello guys,

Im opening this topic to talk about some of NCz0ft's stupid features in their latest version of Lineage 2, the Epilogue.

There are some features, that simply "scare" me because they kill the spirit of Lineage 2. The one that worries me personally the most is the "mailing" feature. You can actually start sending items from one peace zone to another peace zone. That's hell-a-scary. So dear L2J Devs, make sure you know what you're implementing and make it safe from packet hacking.

Another feature which is scary is the "re-buy" feature. Yes, you can actually buy back items you intentionally or accidentally sold to NPCs. I guess that's going to be a scary feature for L2J too. So, you better have a closer look on that too.

Oh, I almost forgot about the skill-transfer feature. Wow, that's a really scary one. Would be bad if we would start seeing tanks with bishop heal, so make sure that's secure too.

These features shouldn't create new items, just store existing ones in the DB as ATTACHED or SOLD, and then modify its owner or location depending on the player actions.
About the skill transfer, I don't know what do you mean. Enchanting?

refund system has nothing to do with db, it resets on log out, so why store it?
as for the skill transfer system I already made it in a secure way, working great

I just hope there's a feature to disable those and more new features since they change the gameplay behaviour considerably.

Items sold cannot be re-purchased after disconnection, quit, or character select. so in case of server crash there is no need to store them as well

besides skill transfer is JUST FOR HEALERS, so what if they get some extra HEALER skills?

He has a point although his way of expressing it is retarded. Tanks are indeed overpowered in pretty much most servers.

Yes.. so many server have (nearly) unlimited number of buff and extend the length of buffs/dances/... making the buffer class a rather useless one (Buffer NPC do the job very well)

By changing buff durations, the game balance is broken... These stupid admins forget that NCZ0ft took many hours testing and adjusting the skills to keep the balance...
