Chile 8.8 Earthquake

Post by ThePhoenixBird »

Our beloved friend Melerix resides on Chile, lets hope that he is unharmed, there are several problems with the electricity and communications over the country, so we cant reach him yet.

For the rest of the Chilean people lets send our prayers for their recovery, and for the rest of their missing ones.

If you are able to send Aid for Haiti or Chile then DO IT if you can, you never know if you could be the next hit by an earthquake.

Some information: This earthquake was 800 times stronger than the Haiti earthquake. Imagine that.

Except that here, it's reality, with real victims... And we can also see Earthquakes in California where it'd also make lots of casualities... And there are also other places where it may happen...

I don't know if it's because we hear more about these on the media, but I've the feeling that the sismic activity is increasing... and that we'll hear more like that in the next years...

ppl just dont trust in old thing without any scientifical proof...old cultures had their ways to handle nature and their lived in bigger harmony with nature...now...since earth can be understand as one big organism and we are just part of its livesphere, earth will solve us, maybe not fast like injection in hospital but with highest effectivity... our modern (i dont mean primitive tribes in rainforrests or deserts) civilization is like cancer for this planet (L2 including) :D

Well, in the past there were already some continent movements (we sometime talk about "Pangea" to describe the continent that split in America on one side and Europe/asia/africa on the other side...)

Here, we may aswell see a brand new continent arise or a continent split in half... Well, not "we" but our grand grand grand [...] children ;-)

Same for the climate change... this already occured in the past... volcanos and dinosaurs were certainly as effective in producing mass CO2 as we are ;-) But if it don't mean the end of human civilisation, it may mean big change in our way of living (my northern neighbours, Netherlands, has a art of the country below sea level !!!)

When I hear about Dubai building the tallest building, I think it's plain stupid... the taller, the more risks in cas of earthquake...

well, I doubt we'll still live when the new continent will come out of the sea... it'll take thousand of years ;-)

But what is sure is that we'll hear about Earthquakes year after year... And that's not a good news... Earthquakes and tsunamis...

Nothing yet :( things are really chaotic there, many residential zones are out of electricity due colapsed buildings and electricity posts, and the communications services are collapsed with the emergency.

His computer could broke or got damaged during the earthquake on the best case.

Anyways he got mails from all of us waiting a response as soon he can reach either MSN Messenger or Hotmail
