As I am running L2J on a dynamic IP, I use no-ip DNS. The problem is with players. I have found no other sollution but to make a Batch file (.bat). The script pings my DNS, gets the IP from the resulting ping command text and puts it in hosts file. Then it starts LineageII.exe, and for all of this to work, it must be placed in Lineage folder, not in the system subfolder.

It seems extremely simple to me, but I am having second thoughts. Isn't this too difficult for unexperienced or young players, like kids ?

But I can't figure any other way to do it. I have read some stuff on the net that involved editing L2.ini. The problem is, I tried to edit L2.ini before, not for this issue, but to try and get infinite zoom, but each time I try to run the game with the edited L2.ini, I get a Windows Critical Error, the kind with a red X in the left...
Anybody know a better solution for this ?
