Hi
I have a strange problem, when i attack something, its lags between hits
one hit 3 sec pause one hit again and so on, and when im using a Teleport scroll
the animations is fast and good, but then nothing happens just freece and cant move
for 5 min, but in the end i got teleported to my location with 5 min delay.
so to me it looks like i have attack lag, because nothing else lag on the server
INFO =
No players at all, no mods clean datapack and game server, not even touched
the standard configs. just downloaded and installed.
Server info =
CPU Q9550
8 gb memory
2x 500 gb serial ata raid 0
OS windows 2003 x64
Connection 100 mb dedicated
Sql server V5.1.49
Java jdk 6 upd 21
But even more strange is, i have one more server on the same datacenter
the only differences on the to server is, core to duo cpu, and 4gb memory
and everything running fine on that server no lags at all, so maybee its
related to the q9550.
Thanks in advance
hopefully some one can help me out here.

Re: Attack lag
if it is hardware-dependent then it's got nothing to do with l2j but with the server itself.
If you have problems, FIRST TRY SOLVING THEM YOURSELF, and if you get errors, TRY TO ANALYZE THEM, and ONLY if you can't help it, THEN ask here.
Otherwise you will never learn anything if all you do is copy-paste!

Re: Attack lag
Yes, there are people who loves to write, only.
Check your Server side Java and Mysql configuration, these lags issues comes when the resources arent satisfied. L2J is not only plug and play, remember it
The machine seems pretty good to start, dont worry.

Re: Attack lag
Cant get it to work, compared the 2 servers, exact same java and sql settings,
even reinstalled older versions of sql server 5.1.45, and java jdk 6 upd 14
and still the strange attack lag.
Hopefully some one with similar hardware configs, can help me out here.

Re: Attack lag
Hmm, maybe you have a faulty hardware. You will need to contact your provider and ask him to double check everything for you, specially the hard disk and ram. Or maybe your net connection is the issue.

Re: Attack lag
Thank you Lineage
probably your right, i will try what you suggest me to do.
just one more question, any one in here that run latest l2j server on a q9550 cpu flawless without any
errors, because i noticed that most people running there servers on, xeon quad core cpu
maybe there is a reason for that, this problem driving me crazy. but i hope your suggestion will
help.

Re: Attack lag

Thank you badboy29
good to know, the hardware has been tested, and nothing wrong with it.
The datacenter offered me a new server, so i will try that, reporting back here.

Re: Attack lag
Got a new server with similar spec, q9550 etc. exact same problem, attack lag, but i noticed some more
strange things, i can always running araound, enchant gear, use ordinary gate keeper, mana pots, cp pots
with out any lag, but if i am using a healing pot its lagging , the time out wont disapear, exact same thing with passive skills with timer, if protection of rune activate its lagging, and it wont time out.
it seems that its only happend when im doing some thing with a timer function, to me it looks like there are
some incompatible issues with q9550 + server 2003 x64 + l2j server.
Thanks in advance

Re: Attack lag
Finally, i got a solution, not a good one but its working, i have to disable 2 out of 4 cores then l2j server running flawless. if anyone have a better solution, i will appriciate it. and there is nothing wrong with my hardware,
just the combination with the q9550 + server 2003 x64 + l2j.
