the best browser is the one you like, not the one which has the most votes and addons

A good browser is one that is fast, secured, not bugged, and pass all basic tests such as ACID3. The contrary of IE.

idc, i like it and i don't need anything more
and just because you think that it's a bad browser doesn't mean nobody uses it, many people use IE (11% for IE7 according to w3schools) and that's not a small number

Just because a lot of people use IE doesn't mean it's a good browser. Some people probably have no choice or they have no idea what they are doing/using.

Also judging a website when using a buggy browser is somehow wrong

If you wanna keep on using IE at least install Chrome Frame

the newest is not always the best, i told you like 5 times i'm fine with v7, and some plugins i have don't have versions for v8, which is one of the main reasons i'm not upgrading ()
i'd be better of making my own browser than using the latest versions, all of them have shitload of useless features that you can't disable yet they drag the process down

you cannot compare IE7 and window 3.11 . IE7 is not that old browser. if he would say that he uses IE6, yeah, that would be really bad and comparable with win 3.11, but not IE7. there are many companies which just use IE7, and many web developers have to be compatible with it. i would be fine with it, if there would be no more people using (the most horrible browser) IE6.

you can just make logos of browsers your forum supports and advice your forum users to use those supported browsers. but you cannot push them to do so or flame them if they dont (and they should not flame you, because your forum page has those support browser information).

e.g. i am using opera at work for l2j server forum. i have the black theme on forum, and in opera i cannot see check boxes if they are checked or not (bug of the forum theme). do i flame tpb? no, because i know that i can use other theme or other browser.
